Attaf made phone call to iranian counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, today made a phone call to the Iranian Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Mr. Ali Baghari Kinney.

During which the Minister renewed Algeria’s condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as expressed in the message sent by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune,  following the tragic accident that killed President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian.

Mr. Attaf also recalled, in this painful circumstance, the qualities of the late Hussein Amir Abdollahian, and the efforts and close consultations they shared to develop bilateral relations and support the causes of the Islamic nation, in particular the Palestinian cause. He affirmed his willingness to continue to work with the new head of Iranian diplomacy in the same spirit, in order to promote bilateral cooperation at a level that meets the aspirations and ambitions of both countries and the two brotherly peoples.
