President Tebboune chairs Algerian-Russian Business Forum meeting in Moscow
President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired Wednesday in Moscow the Algerian-Russian Business Forum meeting, as part of a three-day State visit he started Tuesday to this country at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
Seventy Algerian economic operators and 200 Russian businessmen are taking part in the forum, an opportunity for the two sides to explore investment and partnership opportunities and step up cooperation, to give a fresh impetus to Algerian-Russian economic relations.
In an opening address at the forum, President Tebboune said Algeria "is committed to an economic multifaceted recovery programme, and has made 2023 the year of economic revival."
He added that the country "has given a top priority to the revision of the legal framework governing investment to provide an appropriate business climate."
The president of the Republic also emphasized "Algeria's significant efforts to fight bureaucracy and free investment from administrative barriers" while "encouraging non-hydrocarbon investments" and economic projects.
