The Embassy of Algeria commemorates the Shahid (Martyr) Day

The Algerian Embassy in Tokyo has commemorated today the “Shahid Day’ that coincides with the date of 18 February 2025 in presence of the Embassy staff. On this occasion, the Algerian national anthem was sung and the Fatiha Sourate recited on the memory of the martyrs of the Algerian Revolution. The Chargé d’affaires a.i. has delivered a short speech on this occasion, recalling the symbol of this commemoration as well as the great sacrifices made by our Chouhadas (martyrs) that allowed us today to live in dignity, freedom and prosperity. He has also emphasized the importance of commemorating such events, especially towards new generations.
