Celebration of the 62nd anniversary of the Independence and Youth Days
As part of the series of celebrations for the glorious Independence Day, the Algerian Embassy in Japan organized a drawing competition for the children of the national community, with the theme "Algeria: My Homeland and the Land of My Ancestors: Memories and Inspirations."
The judging panel consisted of two Japanese members of the Japan-Algeria Friendship Association: Mrs. Mami Watanabe, the widow of a former Japanese ambassador to Algeria, and Professor Itsuko Oyagi, who translated the book "Son of the Poor" by the late Algerian writer Mouloud Feraoun into Japanese and published a study on the art of animation in Algeria.
The top three winners received gold, silver, and bronze trophies, respectively. Additionally, all participants received beautiful gifts.
