General Assembly of the Japan-Algeria Friendship Association

The Japan-Algeria Friendship Association held its ordinary general assembly at the residence of the Algerian Ambassador in Tokyo on June 18, 2025, in the presence of several members.

On this occasion, Mr. Toufik MILAT, Ambassador of Algeria to Japan, in his capacity as Honorary President of the said Association, was invited by the President of JAFA, Ambassador Kazuya Ogawa, to deliver a brief speech, in which he notably praised the role of this association in strengthening the historical friendship ties between Japan and Algeria, as well as its contribution to the development of bilateral relations in various fields, notably that of investment and business opportunities, through its promotional action of the Algeria destination among Japanese operators.

At the end of the association's AGM, Ambassador MILAT invited the participants to taste couscous prepared according to Algerian tradition, as well as other Algerian specialties and sweets that the Japanese friends of Algeria particularly appreciated.
