Algeria takes part to the TICAD 9 Summit

Algeria strengthens its international presence by participating in the TICAD 9 summit.
Representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr. Noureddine OUADAH, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Microenterprises, participated in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), held in Yokohama, Japan, from August 20 to 22, 2025. Th
is major event was jointly organized by the African Union, Japan, the United Nations Development Program, and the World Bank, and brought together representatives from 55 African Union member states, including the delegation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic led by the Prime Minister.
The conference aims to strengthen cooperation among various stakeholders and explore new horizons to achieve the goals of the African Union's Agenda 2063 and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly with regard to the three main pillars of TICAD: economy, society, peace and stability.
Algeria's participation reaffirms its desire to strengthen its presence in major international forums and reflects its unwavering commitment to supporting the development process on the African continent by strengthening strategic partnerships with Japan and other international partners.
