The Embassy of Algeria in Japan commemorates the Martyr Day

The Algerian Embassy in Tokyo has commemorated today the “Shahid Day" that coincides with the date of 18 February 2026 in presence of the Embassy staff and a representative of the Algerian community residing in Japan. On this occasion, the Algerian national anthem was sung and the Fatiha Sourate recited on the memory of the martyrs of the Algerian Revolution. His Excellency the Ambassador Toufik MILAT, has delivered a short speech recalling the symbol of this commemoration as well as the great sacrifices made by our Chouhadas (martyrs) that allowed us today to live in dignity, freedom and prosperity. He has also emphasized the importance of commemorating such national events, especially towards new generations.
