Exceptional Revision of Electoral Rolls on the Occasion of the Election of Members of the People’s National Assembly on 2 July 2026

Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 dated 26 Rajab 1442, corresponding to 10 March 2021, containing the Organic Law relating to the electoral system, as amended and supplemented, in particular Articles 62 and 65 thereof, and pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 26-145 dated 16 Shawwal 1447, corresponding to 4 April 2026, calling the electorate to elect the members of the People’s National Assembly on Thursday, 2 July 2026,

The Embassy of Algeria in Tokyo informs all members of the national community residing within its consular district that the period for the exceptional revision of the electoral rolls will be open from 12 April 2026 until 26 April 2026.

Accordingly, Algerian citizens registered with the Embassy’s consular services, in particular those who will have reached the full age of eighteen (18) by 2 July 2026 and who have not yet registered on the Embassy’s electoral rolls, are invited to present themselves to the consular services in order to request their registration.

It should be noted that registration on, or removal from, the electoral rolls is carried out exclusively at the request of the person concerned, accompanied by a document proving identity.
